I think it's likely that the poor little plant is just hungry or being bothered by bugs. Try adding some fertilizer during planting and then transferring it to something a bit larger than its current pot about a year or two from now.

Hmm! It's probably due to the environment, meaning not enough humidity, too much sunlight, improper watering, or a pot that's too small. Don't you worry though, I'm sure we will get to the bottom of it! Let's move it to a larger pot and avoid the things I mentioned earlier, then it will surely be better. :)
